I started climbing at the age of nine when I joined a course at City Rock. At the time it was just a fun thing to do, but now it is my passion. I am currently training with Joe Mohle which is a huge privilege. He is an amazing instructor and has taught me so much.
I enjoy climbing because it's so free with very few rules and regulations. Last year I competed in the Regional competition and won the U13 girls' category, but was unable to get to the Nationals. I think that it is sad that there aren't more girls who rock climb in Cape Town.
I think that climbing outside is so much better than inside, it was the best feeling in the world when I did my first send. Climbing outside means that I can just climb, without worrying about which grips I can or cannot use.
