News from the Provinces
Nestled behind the main building at the University of the Free State sits a climbing wall. This climbing wall has been up and running for the past few months and has already seen a lot of action including a bouldering competition held in August.
The Momentum Climbing and Adventure Club lay claim to this wall and invite all potential members to come test it out for free for their first 3 visits.
No climbing experience is needed.
Club climbing times are Mondays and Wednesdays between 17:00 and 19:00. At these times a Wall Supervisor will be available for training and assessments. Gear is available at the wall. Join the club for the occasional climbing trips to local crags around Bloemfontein.

Durban High School recently had a new bouldering cave erected by the team from The Barn. Inspired by a sea-side theme while being in the lovely durban area, the cave is devoid of corners where possible. Instead it undulates in waves around the room, creating a variety of angles to play on.

Joey Kinder and Colette McInerney were recently invited to SA to assist with the Youth Team training camp and to give slide shows around the country to inspire the climbing community and introduce development programs to the idea of climbing.
